Ceramic Dielectric Resonators

Before anyone can be tempted to purchase a product, they must learn about the product they’re interested in. Ceramic dielectric resonators are created using piezoelectric ceramic material. There are several different types of piezoelectric ceramic, all of which are all created artificially. To find out what type of ceramic is used you must ask your manufacturer directly, or view your supplier’s specs.

There are many people who do not know why they should buy ceramic dielectric resonators instead of quartz resonators. One of the primary reasons ceramic should be considered is that it’s often much more affordable than quartz. This lower price is easier for customers on a tight budget or those buying in bulk to manage. Research is still being done to find more affordable ways to artificially manufacture ceramic, which will further lower prices in the future.

Silicon Passive Components

In an attempt to further lower prices for consumers, silicon passive components are also being researched. Many well known manufactures of crystal have started making silicon passive components available to customers. Over time the use of silicon passive components should reduce prices on various electronics as these components start to replace more expensive ones.

Uses of Resonators

There are many ways that these resonators can be put to use, the most common being in circuit boards. Circuit boards created using ceramic resonators can be used for clock signals and microprocessor signals. The accuracy provided by ceramic resonators doesn’t compare to quartz and other materials, but it’s perfect for everyday use and helps keep the price of these products down.

As innovation continues, more uses for ceramic resonators have been found. Now manufacturers are using them for timing circuitry in telephones, cameras, remote controls, children’s toys, televisions, and even automobiles. These are all products that don’t require critical frequency specifications or expensive resonators.
